This restored country house, dating back to the leat 19th century, is set on the Chianti Classico hills just a few kilometers from Gaiole. The building (367 sqm) currently features 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms and is managed as an accommodation business. The building, made out of stones, is anchored to a rocky spur. The renovation aimed at preserving the rustic building almost intact: it still features terracotta flooring, chestnut wooden beams and beautiful vaulted ceilings on the lower level. The common hall on the ground floor was originally a barn and the floor is tiled with cotto dell'impruneta. Outside, right in front of the country house, are a greenhouse (16 sqm - 172 sqft, converted from the old pigsty) and a small toolshed (7 sqm - 75 sqft). The roof of the greenhouse is fitted with a 4-panel solar system to produce hot water. Right in front of the house is a paved courtyard with a pergola covered in creepers such as isabella grape and roses.
